Baby Caroline || Memphis Adoption Story
Our skin doesn’t match.
You don’t have my eyes or mouth,
and our faces aren’t the same shape.
I don’t know what it’s like to look at you
and catch a glimpse of myself as a child.
What I see in you is far more beautiful than that.
I SEE THE HAND OF GOD IN MY LIFE.
I see the windows of Heaven and you,
sweet angel, are by my side every single day.
Our skin may not match but,
WE MATCH HEARTS.
(Christy Wagner – an adoptive mother)
With my job, I get the joy of snuggling precious little babies when their parents bestow me with the honor of capturing their tiny angels. Kalli and Matt bestowed me with the biggest honor I could imagine by asking me to capture their precious Caroline Renee. Caroline Renee was adopted by Kalli and Matt and there is no question about these parents’ love for their daughter. I was there the day they laid eyes on this sweet baby. I was there the moment they held her in their arms for the very first time. What a gift I have been give. Thank you. While I’ve been looking at and editing these images, I am reminded of a definition of the word “adoption”. It defines adoption as, “building a family through the process of concentrated, dedicated, enduring love, rather than biology.” Dedicate and enduring love – there is no doubt in my mind that Caroline Renee will have an overflowing cup of dedicated and enduring love from Kalli & Matt. They have more love for each other than some people experience in their entire lifetimes. Take a look at this glowing new family!
Caroline Renee, welcome to the world, to this family, and what a blessing you are to so many!
