Elizabeth + Michael’s Wedding at Ridgeway Country Club || Memphis Wedding Photographer
Working with this couple, and their families, was such a great joy. I know that I probably say that all the time but this truly was such a great experience for me. I met Elizabeth and her Mom, Catherine, for our very first meeting in their beautiful Germantown home. I think that really set the stage for it all. We didn’t meet at my office or a random Starbucks. They welcomed me into their home. And I felt like family from that point on. We did not one by two engagement sessions with this couple as well. One in the fall at the gorgeous Spring Creek Ranch, where the Elizabeth and her family are members, and one in Oaklawn Gardens in the summer. Getting to work with the couple twice before the wedding day just allowed me to get to know them so much better.
On the day of their wedding we met at the church where they were to be wed, Independent Presbyterian. We started out photographing some beautiful details including her stunning gown from Maggie Louise Bridal.
Those shoes ya’ll! Do you see the stitching? Elizabeth’s new last name and wedding date were stitched on for an extra special personal touch 🙂
After getting Elizabeth all dolled up her mother had a sweet little surprise. Along with a poem she read aloud she had one of Elizabeth’s baby bonnets with her. The trimmed the bonnet and it would be the hanky that Elizabeth carried with her down the aisle. Such a sweet idea!
Time to see Dad!
The gift Elizabeth gave to her father were dress socks inscribed with the words “Of all the walks we have been on this one is my favorite.†So sweet!
First Look time! My favorite time of the whole day!
Oh that veil!
Elizabeth’s ladies looked stunning in their gowns from Bella Bridesmaids especially adorned with those stunning florals from the ever so talented Deedra Stone Designs.
I also love the personal monogram on each bridesmaids bouquet. That’s a first for me and I just loved it.
This wedding was actually full of “firsts†for me. These flower girls are all very special to Elizabeth and her family. Instead of the traditional flower girl dresses Elizabeth’s Mom had them dressed each in one of Elizabeth’s dresses from her childhood.
Reception and party time! We headed over to Ridgeway Country Club.
Oh and this cake! My it was not only beautiful but relish too! I love me some wedding cake 🙂 Great job by Mad Lily Cakery.
Before we brought the bride & groom in for their big entrance we decided photos on the greens was a MUST! So glad we did! Would you just look at that light?
Welcoming Mr. & Mrs. Jean!
