Heather & Allen
And God created rain …
Heather & Allen were married on July 14, 2012 at the gorgeous Century Farms Winery. It was a beautifully WET & rainy day. When I arrived the plan was for Heather & Allen to have their first sight and then start photos from there. Well … the rain had other plans.
There really was no “indoor option” so … they embraced it! And yes … they got married in the rain!
I LOVE this of Heather’s grandmother watching the ceremony!
And the little girls catching the rain … so sweet.
Naturally I wanted to take all the rain away for them and make their day perfect. But as I witnessed this ceremony, and all their family & friends standing in the rain with them, my heart was lifted. It just proves … NOTHING can stand in the way of true love … not even the rain. And looking back on their pictures I am sure they are among very few who can say that they had their first kiss as Man & Wife under the romantic drops of rain. So beautiful.
Now, all that being said, I also couldn’t let them have access to this BEAUTIFUL location and not have the amazing Bride & Groom pictures that this couple deserved. SO …. a few weeks later … we went back! Of course! And boy was the sun shining upon them …
This is the tree where Allen proposed to Heather. He hand made this sign and when we went back for pictures he nailed it to their tree.
Congratulations to you … Mr. & Mrs. Allen Hendry! There is no doubt that the two of you will be blessed with many years of happiness!
Thank you so much, Christen! Allen and I love all of the amazing memories that you captured from our rainy day wedding. We wouldn’t change a thing about our special day. We will cherish these pictures forever!
Many, many thanks!
